Grupo creado en el 1983 por los cantantes: Mike Joyce, Johnny Marr, Stehpen Morrissey y Andy Rourke.

Los críticos reconocen que este grupo es uno de los que ha vendido más discos en los 80'.

La canción "How soon is now", está sacada del álbum "Meat is Murder". Éste fue puesto a la venta en Febrero del 1985.
